Vinegar has a variety of uses. It is a real multitasking product that could replace many other products in your home and save you a bunch of money at the same time.

Here is a list of 20 ways you can use vinegar around your home and clean out your cluttered cleaning cabinet under the sink.  Try some of these tips to help save money, reduce chemical use as well and make tasks around your home easier.

 Steam your microwave clean – fill a small bowl with equal parts vinegar and hot water and microwave for 5 minutes or so. The steam loosens stuck on food and you just need to simply wipe with a damp cloth.

Remove lime buildup from faucets – Make a paste of 1 part vinegar and 2 parts salt. Rub the paste onto your faucets with a cloth and watch the lime disappear.

Make cut flowers last longer – When your cut flowers start to droop mix up a tablespoon of white vinegar and a teaspoon of sugar into a quart of water. Fill your vase with this mixture and watch you arrangement come back to life.

Kill bathroom germs – Fill an empty spray bottle with pure white vinegar to use as a chemical free, germ-killing bathroom cleaner. Simple use on sinks, shower walls and tubs as you would any other bathroom cleaner.

Stops the itching of mosquito bites – Simply use a cotton ball to dab some white vinegar on mosquito bites to stop the itching and disinfect the area of germs to heal faster

Cleans residue from coffee makers and dishwasher – Pour a cup of vinegar into the empty coffee maker and dishwashers and run them through a cycle to remove nasty residue and soap build up.

Eliminates litter box odor – Get rid of that nasty cat litter box odor by pouring white distilled vinegar into the litter box covering the entire bottom. Let sit for 30 minutes, then rinse. Let you litter box dry completely before refilling.

Loosen rusted bolts and screws – pour vinegar directly onto the rusted bolt or screw and the vinegar will help to dilute the rust so it can be easily loosened.

Removes wax from wood – If you get wax on wooden furniture or flooring, simply wipe it with a cloth soaked in a mixture of equal parts vinegar and water and watch the wax easily come off without any scratching or scraping.

Unclog drains – If you have clogged drains, pour in a cup of baking soda, then a cup of vinegar. Let sit for half an hour then flush with boiling water.
